What types of subscription do you offer?
Westerly offers a range of print and digital subscription options to suit your requirements including 12 month (2 issue) subscriptions, gift subscriptions and rolling subscriptions, as well as discounted joint subscriptions in partnership with some of Australia’s other prominent literary magazines. Will I be able to cancel my subscription?
You can manage your subscription and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your personal online account. Your Account allows you to access and update your personal information, view your purchases and subscriptions, and update your payment details. Subscriptions can also be cancelled in writing or by email in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Why am I being asked to set up an account at the checkout?
A feature of Westerly‘s improved website and integrated shopping cart is the facility to allocate individual online accounts to our readers. Your Westerly account you will give you control of your subscriptions and purchases and is easily accessible at any time through our website.
Can I buy a gift subscription for someone else?
We offer 12 month (2 issue) print and digital subscriptions for domestic or overseas recipients. By selecting ‘Purchase as a gift’ at the checkout, any of our other subscription products or individual issues can be purchased on behalf of a friend or loved one. To find out more, click here.

Which issue will I receive if I subscribe today?
All subscribers receive a digital copy of the current Westerly issue when they make a purchase. Print subscriptions then commence with the next available issue.
I’m a subscriber and need to change my personal details. How do I do that?
You can manage your personal details at any time through Your Account, accessible at any time through our website.
When will my order arrive?
Links to the latest digital issue will be sent at the time of release and print issues will be dispatched within ten working days of their release. Hard copy issues from our partner magazines through joint subscriptions will be delivered as per their standard practice.
Can I order Westerly from overseas?
Yes! All of our standard Westerly subscriptions and individual issues are available for overseas delivery.
Can I order back issues?
Westerly’s entire back catalogue is available for download or purchase. Issues within our 3 year embargo can be purchased here, while older issues can be downloaded free from our Digital Archive.
What format are your digital issues?
All issues from 2016 onward are available as EPUB and PDF. Issues prior to this are available only in PDF format.
Would I save money by subscribing?
Subscribing will save you money per issue, and will also ensure you receive Westerly as soon as it’s released so you’ll never miss an issue! To see our subscription options, click here.
Are archived issues free to access?
All archived issues outside of Westerly‘s three year embargo period are available for free download through our Digital Archive.
Can I purchase hard copies of issues appearing in the Digital Archive?
Limited archived issues are available for hard copy purchase. If you are unable to locate the relevant issue on the Buy Westerly page, please contact us for further information.
