Marriage Equality: Westerly says ‘Yes!’
Westerly is dedicated to celebrating social and cultural diversity, both in the literary community and beyond. Now, as the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey comes to an end, we’d like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our continued support for all facets of equality. Westerly is committed to representing diverse perspectives in our publication, to create a magazine that champions equality and equal opportunity across Australian society.
All Australians are being asked a simple question, one that we believe has a simple answer: Yes. We work to include, rather than exclude, and endeavour to help develop a community founded on inclusivity and progressive thinking. The world is a rapidly changing place, and we believe we need to move forward, together, to solve the challenges that lie ahead. Social change is never simple, nor easy, but right now it’s a venture undertaken with compassion at its heart.
At Westerly, we strongly believe in equal opportunities for all members of our community, and we are wholeheartedly committed to supporting the cause for equality—in marriage, as in all things.
